Pitch Sessions

Inspiring Action

The pitch sessions are where challenge sponsors shine, presenting their challenges to a captive audience of potential solvers. These sessions are not just about showcasing problems but are an opportunity to inspire students and educators with the potential impact of their solutions. Through engaging presentations, sponsors can convey the significance of their challenges, ignite students' curiosity, and encourage them to take the leap into solving real-world problems.

How long should pitch and what should it include?

Each challenge sponsor is allocated 15 minutes to present their problem, making every moment count. An effective pitch presentation typically includes:

Who am I? - A brief introduction to the presenter, establishing a personal connection.

Who is the company? - An overview of the company, its mission, and its values.

What is the challenge? - A concise yet comprehensive description of the challenge, highlighting its significance and the impact of potential solutions.

In instances where a challenge sponsor cannot attend the session due to scheduling conflicts or time zone differences, recording the pitch session and sharing it with the educator for distribution to students is recommended. This ensures that all potential solvers have access to the same information and can fully engage with the challenge, regardless of their ability to attend the live session.

By following this structured approach to pitch presentations, challenge sponsors can effectively communicate the essence and urgency of their challenges, laying the groundwork for a productive and innovative solution-finding process.
